Darren and Nikita started their love story in high school and depending which one of the two you ask their love story will differ (which seems to have become a long standing joke) Darren is convinced Nikita made the first move, but Nikita just laughs and shakes her head whenever Darren mentions this… Either way I’m so glad they got together as they are such a perfect fit!
These two battled to look at the camera as they couldn’t take their eyes off each other the whole day, they truly do radiate love which lights up everyone around them. These high school sweet hearts chose to have their wedding reception at the pretoria country club on a stunning April day, which blessed us with an awesome sunset. We surrounded by family and friends who were all soaking up the love, the fun and the attention to detail this stunning wedding had.
By now all my fans know Chantel and Brett (my pretty much) sister and her husband well Darren is Brett’s cousin so Both Chantel and Nikita are now officially Mrs Oosterberg! so not only are Nikita and Darren a very special couple but they are almost family too which made it so special to be able to document along side Chantel.
Nikita really out did herself with the wedding making sure every detail was perfect including baking the wedding cake herself! I couldn’t believe it! and it tasted as good as it looked more DIY projects included Table runners which were printed on fabric according to their stationary, Masson jars were stripped and embellished with lace, hessian and ribbon. Ribbon chandeliers were hung from the veranda roof – it is amazing what you can do with 5km of pink ribbon, hoola-hoops and what seemed like endless sticks of glue gun glue. Favours which were succulents wrapped in hessian and ribbon along with mints for the men and lots of other DIY projects, from the Photo Booth backdrop to the photo frame table numbers
it was a day Full of laughs, love and LOTS & LOTS of dancing!
